CTGrade rh IL-21

CTGrade rh IL-21

Part Number: 500-09

CTGrade interleukins and growth factors are signaling molecules that induce various cell functions or phenotypic changes and are used to stimulate and promote adaptive cellular immunity and tolerance with T cells.

CTGrade rh IL-21 induces proliferation and differentiation in target cells and synergizes with CTGrade rh IL-7 and CTGrade rh IL-15 to expand and activate CD8 T cells, as well as augment the activity of natural killer (NK) cells.

CTGrade interleukins and growth factors are designed to support basic, translational, and clinical research, as well as commercial applications.

IL-21 is a common chain cytokine regulating many cell types of the immune system. The IL-21 receptor (IL-21R) activates the JAK/STAT signaling pathway and is expressed on T, B, and natural killer (NK) cells. IL-21 plays an important role in the development of humoral immunity through its effects on B cell biology including differentiation, affinity maturation and memory responses. IL-21 regulates T cell responses including survival of CD8+ T cells and inhibition of Treg cells. IL-21 plays a pivotal role in Hodgkin’s lymphoma and suppresses contact hypersensitivity reactions. In adoptive cellular therapies i.e., CAR T cells, IL-21 promotes a less differentiated phenotype while promoting the effector functions of the engineered cells.
